Rhyme and Prose is such a cute shop that I had the honor of doing a commercial shoot for! Karen contacted me about what goes into a commercial shoot because she had invested in one before! I was so excited to be her first professional Utah Commercial Photographer for her store! She was thrilled to be launching her adult line of clothes and wanted to make sure that these products would be taken care of and modeled the way she was envisioning.

This sweet online clothing boutique creates its items in a process called “Slow Fashion”. This means that every article of clothing made is made to order unless otherwise listed. The goal and business model of Rhyme and Prose are to allow only the items that are truly wanted to be made, which eliminates waste from unsold stock. Rhyme and Prose envision a world where purchases are investments and quality is the number one priority. How cool is that?!

After Karen, (the owner) decided to hire me as her clothing photographer, I began searching for models. I love searching for models of different backgrounds and ethnicities. It is so important for every type of body and diversity to be shown and appreciated. It is something I strive for when helping brands choose their models.

DAY OF SHOOT

This lifestyle commercial photography session took place at White Space Studios in Sandy, Utah. This is such a great location! I love photographing here because it has so many different spaces to use! The lighting is fantastic, the walls have various textures. The whole space is just very well thought through! It is so versatile and so beautiful!

I loved these models. None of them had met before, but they acted like they were the best of friends! Watching these women cheer each other on meant so much to me, but also to everyone taking part in that day. The optimism and love that was shared for each other and the line of clothes they were modeling for were exactly what we all needed.
