Capturing Real Moments, Right Now
I believe in imperfect moments are some of the best moments. The best memories are in hugs, kisses and cuddles. I believe in dancing like no one's watching, laughing at terrible jokes and looking deeply into loved one's eyes.
I believe in recording precious times in life. You, your children and your grandchildren will treasure these fleeting moments in time for years to come.
Let's capture real moments, right now!
I love photographing in this field. It’s in a really unexpected place in Highland, UT and it is perfect! The golden fields bring such a warmth to the pictures. It is one of my favorite places to go for the family mini sessions I photograph! It's great because it looks the same all year round, so it is great if you want a location that looks great during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer!
Do you have a question about family sessions? Here is a blog post answering my most asked questions!
If you didn't know, Wyoming is GORGEOUS! Sometimes you have to look for it. But it is there! Hannah and my mom scouted out this area about a week before I went up there to take Hannah and Cade's Bridal photos. When we got there, I could not believe how gorgeous this place was! The purple flowers and the pond, plus that amazing golden sunlight turned this session into one of my favorite bridals of all time.
I came back to Cheyenne often because I had family there. When I told them I was coming to town, they suggested we go to the Rocky Mountain National Park which was about 2 hours away in Colorado. And let me tell you, it was worth every mile! When we arrived, it was misty and dark. It almost seemed like rain. After we left the town of Estes Park and then headed to the park, we immediately saw Elk! It was amazing. We drove finding the perfect spots for their engagement session. And oh boy we did! Traveling around Rocky Mountain National Park, we saw the most gorgeous scenes full of pine trees and beautiful stormy skies.
I love babies!!! I love photographing newborn lifestyle sessions. I love capturing sweet moments with brothers and sisters and with mom and dad! I love how comfortable people are in their own home. I love seeing a family in their surroundings. People, especially children, are at ease! They don’t have to worry about making a mess in someone else’s space, or not bringing the right snack for their kiddos, it is seriously a win-win!
I know I can't teach my children how to be good people, unless I am that example for them. So that means, I have to be my best self. And this is ever changing. I am not the person who I thought I would be five years ago. I am constantly trying to learn how to be better. This doesn't mean I have to be perfect. Oh heck no! This means I try my hardest to be the best I can be with the tools I have.
Ever wonder what it's like on my side of the camera? Well here is a little behind the scenes of what I do to prepare for a family session, what I do during a session, and what I do to process your photos and deliver them!
I'm scared of snakes. I hate snakes. They are the worst creatures on the entire planet. They suck and I hate them. Like, I kind of wish Noah would have just left them behind during the flood. They are nasty.
When I was a little girl, I ran into three rattlesnakes in one summer. And my dad said if I ran into one more that summer, I would have to kill it myself. Luckily, I didn't have to! So yeah. I have a huge fear of snakes. So here goes my most embarrassing moment as a photographer.
This blog post is all about explaining what to expect from me when you hire me as your wedding photographer! I'm going over all the nitty-gritty details from booking to me delivering your gallery!
Photographing a birth had been on my mind for a long while. It was kind of a bucket list item that I was aching to fulfill. So I asked one of my very pregnant friends if she would be willing to let me photograph the birth of her son! I was incredibly lucky because she said yes! I was so excited to start this adventure as a birth photographer.
