When it comes to family pictures, there are so many different vibes we can create. But what vibe are you hoping to capture with your family? Luckily, Utah locations that accommodate so many styles! For example, we can go to the mountains, the city, or even take pictures in your own home! As your photographer, I will do my best to make sure you get the pictures of your dreams!

I definitely have some favorite Utah locations. But I want to make sure that we are going to be where you feel comfortable and happy! I love finding new locations, and am always open to new ideas. If you're not sure where you want to take pictures, ask me! As a seasoned Utah family photographer I know of several spots that will accommodate your needs and wants. Together, we will find the perfect location for your pictures.

So your session is booked.  You're getting excited! But then you look in your closet and realize you have no idea what to wear. Here are a few things to think about when planning your familys’ outfits.

  1. A color scheme! Pinterest has so many great ideas! Check out this blog post to help you plan your outfits.

  2. Location! Are your clothes going to match the style and colors? If not, let's rethink! Do you still want that location, or maybe it's time to look into another outfit!

  3. Your  home! Will the style and colors in the photos match your home? It's so important to hang the photos of your family once you have them! But you also want to make sure that they will fit, nice and snuggly, into your home.

Lay out everyone's clothes to see if they go together. This will also help you to see if they will look good in your home, too!

It's picture day! Hooray! I am so excited to be your family photographer! I don’t want you to worry too much, especially when it comes to your kids. My job is to capture real life moments. So here are a few tips to help your session go smoothly.

  1. Have your kiddos take a nap if they need it. It's so important, specifically for babies and toddlers.

  2. Dress them in their special clothes once you get to the location. This prevents any spills and messes.

  3. Have everyone eat a good meal before they come. That means you too, mom and dad! Being hangry is a real thing, so let's prevent that emotion where we can.

  4. Have fun! Don't stress about getting that “perfect picture”. That picture comes when you just hang out with your family and enjoy each other!

Being your family photographer is such an honor! I love capturing everything your family is. Your silliness, your laughs, your snuggles and all of the love you offer each other. You be you, and in the end, that's all that matters.
